Hello, I’m Rose, and this business was inspired by my own pets. I wanted collars that weren’t just strong enough for everyday adventures, but also showed off a bit of my personality and theirs. After playing around with paracord and a few designs, I fell in love with the process—and soon friends and family were asking for collars too. That’s when The Five Fifty was born.

Every collar I make is handwoven with care, combining strength, comfort, and style. From vibrant color combos to custom sizing, I love working with pet parents to design collars that are as special as their loved companions.

Paracord has an incredible history. Originally developed as parachute cord in the 1940s, it quickly became prized for its strength, durability, and versatility. It was used for everything from securing gear to making survival tools. Today, paracord is still trusted in outdoor and emergency situations—and it’s also found a place in everyday life, from bracelets to pet accessories.

Among its types, 550 paracord stands out—named for its ability to hold up to 550 pounds of weight while remaining lightweight and flexible.

That history inspired my business name, The Five Fifty.
